Anchoa

Learn Spanish playing!

It's happening again! Next Wednesday we will be christening this new year with another game soirée.

Here are the details:

When: Wednesday, 25th of January at 19:00 (Greenwich Mean Time) until 21 (extendable).

Cost: free!

Host: Cristina from ¡Anchoa es Castilla!

Target language: Spanish

Languages spoken: Spanish and English.

FAQ and extra info (including accessibility issues) can be found here.

NOTE: in order to register, an email will be required for logistic purposes. You'll receive automated communications from Zoom regarding this event. There is not an option to remove my access to this info, which I don't keep, nor use (unless it was strictly necessary, should any issues arise, like missconduct or technical issues).

THE GAMES

If you would like to prepare ahead (it's not cheating if you are studying), here are some of the games that we may be playing. Click on them to see instructions and suggestions (if applicable):

Not the hangman. Last time I ended up drawing anchovies instead, to keep things execution free and on brand.

Memory games: think Simon says, but with different vocabulary. In my childhood we either played "In my suitcase I have..." or "To a desert island I would take..."

20 Questions, Rizla game and Dark Stories: closed questions, or "yes or no questions" are fantastic practice, as in Spanish they are essentially statements with entonation/ question marks.

Any questions, drop me a message. See you there!
